This week’s post is a community member spotlight is Jun Suto. He has been an active and valued member of the Chapter Leadership community since 2017 as a part of our Kyoto Chapter. He is an audacious thinker, a warm and innovative Leader, and leans hard into having fun while doing good. I always leave our conversations with a smile on my face - we are so lucky to have him!

Jun embraces Bucky’s vision of the world and thrive to make daily progress toward this vision. He believes in the ingenuity of people, radical collaboration/co-elevation, and the power of convergence of exponential technologies.
“The moment I met great people at SU in 2017, I knew I must start a chapter in Kyoto, Japan where there is a unique blend of 4 key ingredients - philosophy deeply rooted in 1400-year history, art and craftsmanship, world class scientific research institutions, and robust businesses. Not only would Kyoto be inspired by the SU global community, we can infuse totally unique perspectives and culture to the community." The Kyoto Chapter started in October 2017 and is growing stronger every year. The Chapter is also led by Narimasa Makino, Keita Ohgushi, and Toshiko Asai.
Jun is a winner of 2016 XPRIZE Visioneers and 2018 Singularity University’s Global Impact Challenge. He is a serial entrepreneur and business advisor based in Los Angeles and Tokyo. He advises and collaborates with global organizations on innovation, creativity, and transformation while mentoring and coaching early-stage startups, entrepreneurs, and next-generation leaders. His advisory clients include Global Fortune 25 companies (Berkshire Hathaway, Hitachi, and the like) and ambitious startups.
