Santa Clara, CA —January 04, 2023 — Singularity Group, a global impact organization that looks into the future to help leaders better understand how exponential technology will shape businesses and societies in the years ahead, today announced the recipients of the company’s first-ever Chapter Impact Awards. The awards recognize projects that create real-world social impact in communities around the world and support future leaders by helping to shape a better tomorrow.

Singularity Chapters are volunteer communities, each led by global ambassadors, who focus on furthering Singularity’s goal to leverage exponential technologies to solve humanity’s grand challenges. There are currently 34 Singularity Chapters worldwide in 17 countries.

“We are  excited to honor these award winners who have created initiatives that are making a tremendously positive difference in their communities,” said Darlene Damm, Vice President of Community and Impact at Singularity Group. “Singularity Chapters understand that to lead in tomorrow’s world, they need to create impact today. We call on all businesses to look towards creating impact in their communities and around the world.”

"Our world has no shortage of smart, capable innovators, and when they have access to the right community and tools they will not only solve local challenges, but inspire and teach others to do the same,” said Anuka Roinishvili, who oversees Singularity’s Chapters Program.

The winners of the awards include Chapters in Brazil, Italy, Argentina and Poland:

  1. Tapping into the benefits of Augmented Reality (AR), the Milan, Italy Chapter developed an augmented learning app to improve the learning process. The app is open-source and available for anyone to download. It is intended to be a free and accessible tool for any organizations, foundations, companies and others to use for events and workshops.

“We want to discover, facilitate and improve the learning process for all of humanity,” said chapter global ambassador Roberto Crosignani.

  1. Evangelizing Singularity’s vision of a better tomorrow through the power of exponential technology, the Ribeirão Preto, Brazil Chapter created a youth mentoring program called Jovem Exponential that provides education, tools and support for youth to unlock new career possibilities in technology and sustainability.

“I hope this project will be introduced in other communities because it has really made a difference in my life and I hope it will make a difference in the lives of others too,” shared one of the participants.

  1. Empowering tomorrow’s entrepreneurs to make a positive impact on a planetary scale, the Buenos Aires, Argentina Chapter partnered with Universidad de San Andrés to provide a free virtual educational program for Latin American youth called “Exponential Inception.”
